Interview on CNN about Airbus A-319 windshield failure

On April 15 2018, Alan Armstrong was interviewed by Brianna Keller of CNN about an Airbus A-319 that sustained a failure in the co-pilot’s windshield at 33,000 feet over China. Despite the emergency, the captain was able to safely land the aircraft.

The failure of the co-pilot’s windshield nearly sucked him out of the aircraft. The interview was conducted in the cockpit of a Gulfstream G-III to illustrate the configuration of a large, transport category aircraft.
